Since population is comparatively high near roads at Mumbai-Goa Highway, you need to be careful while passing through it as roads are not maintained well and they lack safety drive

At places near Karnataka you can turn up for over passing, lanes are not separated for oncoming

• Mumbai-Goa Highway needs to renovated as early as possible and recently government has approved project plan for construction of tunnels while passing through forest regions or western areas narrowing of roads at greater width, setting up of guard-railings, construction of dividers preventing accidents. People speak different languages like-Malayalam, Marathi, Kannada etc…Since it covers major areas of north-south regions so bi-linguistic languages are spoken here.
Highway passing through Karnataka is renovated now with multiple flyovers, pedestrians’ path, by-pass for two-wheelers and other vehicles, shelter homes.
